I love snow and cold weather, being outdoors and gaming. Please note that though I don't do much small talk, it doesn't mean that I'm being rude. It just ain't quite natural for me :P

History behind my name
When I first started playing online games in 2007 (Far Cry and Splinter Cell Chaos Theory), I had to choose an online name. My first online name was "Disaster", but it didn't feel unique enough, so I decided to make up a new name. "Janat" is a shortened version of my real name: Janne Aartolahti. Additionally, it's a Finnish mathematical term, line segments in English.

My gaming history and blah blah blah
I was born in Finland 28 December 1991, and ever since I've lived in Southern Finland in a small village of about 15,000 inhabitants. My family bought a color TV in late 80s and in the age of 7 I started programming on my dad's old Commodore 64 (an ancient computer connected to a TV, it had a tape drive). In 2001 I got a Playstation One, my first two games being Driver 2 and Spyro: The Year of the Dragon. a couple of years later my family bought a modern computer with Pentium 4 2.5GHz CPU and Radeon 9200SE GPU, and my first PC game was Soldier of Fortune 2. We got a internet connection in 2006 and a year later I was playing Far Cry online. I also played Splinter Cell 3 online. In January 2008 I bought Crysis, a month later I built a computer capable of playing Crysis, and slowly I became remotely good at it. I joined TFD as I fealt the need to become better. TFD disbanded a year later. I was thinking about joining 760 as Nitti applied for membership, but most other former TFD members joined WAR, so I followed them. Again, one year later, WAR was in serious problems and I decided to leave it. Suddenly everyone else left, too, and again, many joined 760. In March 2009 I founded my own clan, s9, but the member count was 4 at most. It was too late for yet another Crysis Wars clan. My succesful Target Practise server has been up since January 2009 (and it's shutting down in January 2010 as there are more important things for me to pay than a server I never play on). Some 760 players had asked me to join their clan before, and in summer 2009 I thought that the time was right now.

Very nice bio Janat, very long yet well written, which kept me reading. ;)

You used to play Spyro? I used to play that game back when the PS2 was awesome. I think I was 6 or 7 years old then. :P

Nice to see you mention TFD, I was only with them a month as a recruit but they were some good times. It let me get to know a lot of you people before I made an app here. :)

Great bio, Janat, and thank you for sharing!

BTW, we have similar computer setups as I also have the MSI Eclipse, i7 920, Noctua cooler, and W7 x64. Perhaps you could share your overclocking settings with me?

Are you a big football fan? I love Liverpool FC, I played FIFA in college on Xbox pretty much every day with dorm mates. Sami Hyypia was a beastly defenseman! Being from Michigan where Hockey is the king of sports, we hear a lot about Swedish players in Hockey. Of course Fippula plays for the Red Wings, but he isn't as popular as Lidstrom, Kronwall, Franzen, and Zetterberg

Wow yet another person I imagined as someone with black hair.

You kept UK in your map yeah hey!

Anyway nice bio JaNaT interesting to read, and guess what I had Spyro 1,2 on the PS1 to but I sort of got my PS1 around the time when it came out.
And I first started playing online games in 2007 to.

You have great specs for your rig, thats what I am sort of after.

I'm not exactly a big football fan, once in a while I watch a match on tv. Same goes for hockey, too, though world championships is a must-see thingy :)

Updated The Rig, I got a brand new 500GB Samsung F3 HDD and an AuzenTech X-FI Bravura sound card. The Bravura's headphone amp is awesome, and the sound quality is superb in every other way, too! It doesn't have hardware acceleration for games and only supports EAX 4, but all my music sounds so lively and vibrant and... Awesome :D

In Bad Company 2 the sound is software driven, so all of the sound cards that people have are rendered ineffective.

The bass drums really sound bassy and strong and you really feel it and hear it excellently. You not only feel it, but you also hear how it sounds. And yet you can hear everything else clearly, too. Also, the card's sound is kinda analogue and warm, in a good way. Damn I love it

Very nice, indeed. ;) sounds like something sound card fanatics should look into buying.
